Hi all,
I have a rear reverse light out (I presume it's supposed to have two?)
Also when I get in or out of the car I would say 95% of the time, it starts to creak really loudly.. Is this poor build quality
I picked up the car on 22nd May, it had been at the garage for 1 month before, so it's a 6 week old car!!!

The Polo only has 1 reversing light.
Double check the dealer removed the transport blocks from all the suspension coil springs for starters just in case that's causing the creaking.

Wouldn't know how to do that..
Also, my parents are positive they see it had two before!

Just have a look above the wheels inside the wheel arch and make sure there's nothing in between the springs. It's unlikely the dealer forgot but it has been known to happen. Otherwise just take it back to the dealer and have them check it out.
Your parents were hallucinating I'm afraid. The other side has a fog light.

Go and ask the dealer then.
And yes the Polo only has one reverse light. in the passengerside and in the same spot on the drivers side tailligh is the foglight.

Thanks for the info about the reverse light, you'd think they put that in the manual...
Also I can't see anything in the wheel arches

Why would they put that in the manual?

Right... I didn't see the logic in that one either... It's obvious by looking at the taillight or by getting familiar with ALL features of your vehicle (including the lights, which I sincerly hopes that you have learned to turn on and off when the sun goes down so innocent drivers aren't in danger when driving near you at night) before operating your vehicle in traffic !!!

Bit harsh - it's fair enough they might include it in the manual for changing the bulb.

Yeah I can see that now. Wasn't my intention.
There is just a bit of a problems with people not getting to grips with how their cars work before they use them here in Denmark...
It was not my intention to chew anyones head of. Just wanted to get my point across.

If I am honest I leave the setting on auto in which it should turn off accordingly..

Best feature ever made, I love mine aswell. You're good to go then.

Just hope they can get to the bottom of the creaking. Wouldn't mind if it was an old car, but it's like 6-8 weeks maximum!
One thing I've noticed, it doesn't seem to do it in the mornings, only once it's been driven for the day..

You sure it's not the breaks ect cooling down? Every car I have owned has made little noises after its warmed up and then started to cool. It's only to be expected as the metal contracts.

It's very LOUD though..
Spoke to VW who said it could be something to do with the brakes after the car sitting at their garage for 4-6 weeks before I picked it up... I am a bit dubious though as they must have cars sitting there for a longer period of time.. My parents said their 64 plate Vauxhall mokka had been sitting there for a while and it doesn't creak.
Anyways VW have my car all day Friday (luckily I work 2 mins walk away) so they can look at it all day and hopefully fix it!
