Is there anyway to search by post code on the inbuilt Sat Nav on a GT?

Have you tried just typing in the post code in the city field?

Yes, but it isn't immediately obvious how you do this.

Select "new destination" and then select the 'City' option (touch the screen in the box next to City).

In the next screen there is a box in the bottom LH corner that says Ptcd. Press this and you'll be able to enter a 7 digit postcode.

I notice that in one of the recent long term test reports on a Leon Cupra, one of the negatives stated was that there was no postcode entry for the sat-nav, but he clearly hadn't found Ptcd. button as it's essentially the same sat-nav as the Polo's.

Once you know it's there it's quite obvious really.

I'd been trying several ways including the suggestion above about just inputting .

Didn't see the post code button !
