rumbling noise

Hi all
I have a 53 plated 1.4 diesel. Runs great but in low revs there is a rumble in 4th and 5th gear! Take car up to 50mph in 5th and the rumble goes away. Same in 4th. Car should be taking 5th gear at 35mph without prob. The rumble is a vibration, not through the steering wheel just a rumble. On motorway at 70 plus car is A1.
Any suggestions at all.
