6 speed Gearbox Conversion

Hi all I am sure there are a few threads on this topic but I am unable to find them. I have had my gti for about 6 months and the gearbox is now whining and I have been informed that it's the diff. However I will take the opportunity to change it to a 6 speed but I am unsure of the gearbox codes that go in and what parts are needed. If anybody can help that would be much appreciated.

02s from a 2,0 Fsi should fit.

Thinking on converting my 9n3 over to 6 speed. What's the gearbox code for the box you used and what clutch fitted? Any help is appreciated. Thanks
