They've quotes me something stupid like £5-600!? any views on this? any advice?

Well, as lots of people here had already had it done, I thought it would be a good idea to ask here as I have no idea whether people (in this case the garage) are ripping me off... good idea before seeking quotes and being none the wiser ne?

Well it would appear to be a reoccuring fact that the dealer will charge you as much as possible for a job like that if you don't choose it as a factory option when you bought the car.

i was actually thinking of getting my bumper strips colour coded to, thought about doing it myself, but after getting many quotes and bargining i have managed to sort a price of £150 with a body shop, providing they do it the same time as they fit my body kit, aiming to bring it down to £100 8)

And where preytell did you get that price??

They've now told me that they can't paint my current strips.. that I need to buy brand new blank ones and then get them to spray them for some silly amount of money :/

I'm suprised they don't supply then pre-sprayed in the colours they sell... I mean I'm sure people who have there car scuffed would need these replaced?

the thing is u cant take the strips off have them sprayed and then stuck back on, as they will lose there shape when they are pulled off. ( or so i have been told) thats y u must have been told u need new ones, but the price i have been quoted is to have the area around the strips masked off, and the strips sprayed direct while they are on the car.
aron u payed £80  bumped, vw only charge £75 :o :o

Saw this on eBay if you have a 3 door reflex silver Polo

Dont know if they have been taken off a car or new though.

Might be worth asking.
