Slow puncture

(Or fast puncture rather!) 2 and a half weeks ago I inflated all my tyres to 34.5 psi. Checked front driver's side this morning and it had gone down to 12psi! Couldn't see any immediate signs of a puncture or anything so I took it straight to my local tyre specialist, who identified a small nail in the tyre. For a tenner they fixed it, but how do they repair it if it leaked so much air out in the first place for it go down to 12psi? There was me fearing I'd be forking out for more costly repairs but relieved it only set me back £10. Most of my driving it at 70mph down motorways so very important I got that checked!

Its just patched up with a volcanising rubber bung, then pressurised again

Whatever they did it worked lol. I inflated it 34.5 psi the day before doing a 140 mile trip to see family over Christmas. Checked the next day and the pressure was still the same!
Last week on the passenger side front wheel I discovered a puncture though. Found out initially the tyre was completely flat so inflated it back up but as soon as I disconnected the pump I heard hissing coming from the tyre. After taking it off and doing the water bubble trick 2 punctures were discovered on the sidewall meaning a new tyre was needed. Tyres just don't go completely flat overnight, I saw no signs of a slow puncture or indeed hit any kerbs. Either some kids slashed it or something else happened. Cost £60 for a new f****ng tyre!

I know, is it just coincide that these wheel and tyre issues started occurring after Halfords Autocentre fitted those new tyres lol.
