Hi, just new to this and need help with a big problem. Both passenger foot wells and carpets are soaking after heavy rain. I have checked scuttle drains and all clear. Door seals look fine too, and I have sat in car during heavy rain and can see no visible ingress along doors etc. I think water is tracking in maybe under dash and tracking down behind carpets and onto floor. No sunroof. Could wiring looms at bottom of of drain chamber under scuttle be a possible cause? Also If windscreen seals were shot how exactly does water get in? Was going to put some sealant along bottom of windscreen but the groove is where the lip of scuttle panel goes in so thought maybe not good idea. I have duck taped top of scuttle panel to screen to see if this slows the issue down. The black plastic windscreen deflector thing was broken and hanging down a bit but that was the only thing of note. Been trying to sort this for weeks and getting nowhere, so any thoughts would be great! Thanks

I had the same problem and it turned out to be a missing bolt that fixed the wing to the car.

It is my sons car , it had had a new N/S/F wing fitted before we bought it , i stripped out the footwell trim and hosed the car and could see the water trickling in.

It was the rearmost top fixing bolt for the wing that hadn't been fitted , the location of the bolt is almost underneath the windscreen.

I fitted a new bolt and its been perfect ever since.

Not if this would hep but the one I have has been letting in water from the gromit above the rear lights
