6n2 - difference between Red I/Silver I and white I??

I'm just curious in what the difference is in the GT"I" on the badge as I've seen 3 different colours? I'm guessing spec or is it just what year etc? Cheers

No difference. Just VW changing the badges
It should be silver GT and red I. Some early ones are all silver and all red

I've just brought a white I one off ebay for a few quid as didn't want to pay the £30 VW fee for a new badge! Gonna try and think of a clean way to change the colour on the I to red
