GTI International 2016 - CLUB STAND

Hi Guys,

For the last few years, there has been the idea of a UK-POLOS.NET club stand at GTI International... But to fall on deaf ears.

But now, with the growing popularity of the forum due to lots of new members getting their new 6C GTIs through, maybe we could start meeting up and showing our cars off at VAG shows and events? This provides a nice opportunity to put forum names to faces and to find out about and see people's Polos in the flesh.

I have attended GTI International (also known as 'inters') for the last 9 years and to me it is consistently the best VW show in the country. Lots of high quality VWs, Audis, SEATs, Skokdas and even the odd Porsche on show, trade stands, lots of club stands, lots of show and shine, as well as the the dragstrip, which anyone with any VAG car can use.
The show this year is on the weekend of 9th/10th July 2016
The show is at Shakespeare County Raceway (CV37 8LL - just outside of Stratford Upon Avon).

This club stand is open to ANY UK-POLOS.NET Polo - regardless of model, age or condition! The more the merrier!

Would love to come on a polo stand! Been with Sheffield Dubs for ages but want a change, this is what i need!

I'd be down. Was going to go last year in my 2014 Ibiza cupra but couldn't make it. My GTI is hopefully being delivered by the end of Jan and I would definitely be up for this [emoji1]

I will be up for going.

Went last year in the polo the day after I got it.

Was on the R32 stand thou, Had an TR MK4 R32 before the polo.

UPDATE:
Hi all,
Spoken to organiser Neil Birkitt a few days and it is fine for us to have a club stand for both days. The tickets (the earlier you buy them, the cheaper they are) will soon be going on sale. It is easiest to buy them online (http://www.gtiinternational.co.uk/)

In order to get on the club stand, you need to buy a club pass which is INCLUDED in the price of your ticket. In order to get the stand pass, go to the tickets section on the website and go to the drop down box to select UK POLOS. NET.
I should mention that camping is available on-site for those who want to stop all weekend.

I also need to find out who wants to go on which day as a feel for the level of interest. So if you want to put your car on the club stand, please reply in this thread saying you're up for it and:
X Name, X Day, along with whether you've ordered your tickets online yet.
I will then paste it into the first post on this page so we can see who's going and when. I will keep looking at this most days to update it.
Please spread the word throughout the 6R forum to gain interest as the more the merrier!
