Rear brake slave cylinder replacement

I noticed some fluid leakage while checking the brake shoe wear.
Can someone confirm that the cylinder can be replaced without removing the shoes and springs etc.
Any other tips welcome too!
Thanks.

You'll have to take the shoes and springs out as its all connected. Easy job mind you.

If you take one retaining spring off then you can move the shoes slightly and will allow you to remove the cylinder once its disconnected without having to strip the shoes down.....

Thanks for the replies.
I haven't done the job yet - waiting till I have the time and the weather.
I have done this job on other cars where it was possible to just undo the connections and bolts, push in the pistons and take the cylinder out. I never like disturbing brake springs. They always seem to want to fight me.

For what shoes cost, I would replace the lot and give it all a good overhaul
