VW POLO 9N Cupholder

Hey guys,
I was wondering if I could have some help. I am taking my dashboard out yet my cupholder wouldn't come out by using the tabs, so I took out the mechanism (stupidly). There is a spring on the back on the cupholder and I am unsure of how it goes in because now the cupholder won't work.
