Hi guys,

Had the 1.4 TDi checked over before the mot in sept and the bushes have gone on the trailing arms (along with the tracking rod ends).
So i found this on eBay
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/371499235361? ... EBIDX%3AIT
but the guy said i need to replace the "second triangle" which this fits into. i am guessing that would be this part...

is this true or is he just trying to get some extra cash out of me? what is that part called as i can't find any of them when searching ebay for trailing arm or control arm.
Personally it seems like a load of BS to me. Surly if i buy a new set of Control arms (left and right) with bushes this should just fit onto the chassis no problem, there shouldn't be a second part i need to replace.

Any help would be much appreciated

SOunds like he's making it up

The only reason you would replace the other part would be if the cast aluminium had cracked

Thing is, replacing all that kit of bits is okay on a car of that age, as long as that kit is of quality parts. Why not just shuffle along to your local ECP site and buy a couple of track rod ends and a couple of TCA rear bushes? Make sure you have your car chassis number with you as there were a couple of variations on the track rod ends I think.
