Like most people I leave the handbrake off if the car is going to be left standing for a while. Ironically I've suffered the opposite problem in that it now won't pull up/on. I've had the RH brake Caliper off for a peak and the piston is still free to move when using the brake pedal. It also winds back in freely when I reset it. I haven't looked at the LH side yet but I wondered if anyone else has had this? Could it just be corrosion in the cable conduit or can the handbrake part of the caliper mechanism stick?
