Need help diagnosing a problem

Hi there
I own a 2003 1.9 sdi and recently it has started occasionally started making the sound in this video
https://vid.me/B2Yw
If anyone could point me in the right direction of what might be causing it that would be much appreciated.
It's only made it on 2 journeys so far but have a feeling it's the start of something major. Once it starts it only makes this noise when I put my foot on the accelerator. Not necessarily travelling any faster just as soon as I give it a bit more gas it gets worse. If I then ease off the accelerator it goes away. It also will only do it when in gear if you put the clutch in it disappears and if it's in neutral it will not make the noise. I don't think its anything to do with the wheels but was thinking either the clutch or gearbox?
The problem is that it keeps going away so if I put it in the garage it won't make the noise and they can't really diagnose it the it will come back on a journey a week 9r so later.
Has anyone come across this before? Any help would be great.
Thanks,
Nick
