2016 Polo - Build Quality issues?

Hi all,

I bought a brand new 2016 Polo R-Line TDi back in march and it's covered 6k miles at the moment. I seem to experience an array of niggly problems that are making me hate the car.

- After just 300miles, the EGR failed which took VW a month to replace.

- The accelerator pedal arm and housing is entirely plastic and one started to wear within a month. It now creaks and feels "sticky" under foot. I'm actually trying to get this sorted

- Stop / Start works when it wants. Sometimes it refuses to cut out with an error of "Engine must be running". Disabling SS and re-enabling lets the engine cut out and resume as normal.

- Cruise control sometimes forgets what to do. It lets off power and applies it suddenly causing the car to jerk

- The DPF filter is a massive pain in my rear. 20 miles down A-roads twice daily is seemingly not enough for passive regens. I sometimes get active regens occurring 3-4 times a week for 15-20 mins a time!

- There seems to be a nasty flat spot in first gear pulling away. The car loses power, then it comes back with the car kangerooing somewhat..

This car is an actual piece of crap.

What other problems have / are you guys experiencing?

So I figured I best write the things I DO like about this car :D

- The looks. Primary reason for choosing it.

- The R interior. A generally nice place to be

- Touch screen snazzy centre console

- Full LED headlights and DRLs. Without a doubt, my favourite feature. Factory fitted.

Tried to apply som grease to the accelerator, lasted one week.
Very annoying.

If you get a fix, let us know

I'm hoping for a warranty replacement. I'll buzz VW again at the weekend and try and get booked in. They want the car for an entire day so I'll need a courtesy car.

I'm 99% sure VW will report no fault, but I'll keep going back so long as it's in warranty.
