Ive done a conversion in a 6n2, it was originally a 1.4 16V now got 1.6 GTI engine in. I have changed engine loom, ecu, imobiliser and clocks and have the key but it only turns over and doesnt fire up.

Also when ignition is on I cant connect to the ECU through the OBD port?

Anyone have any ideas as what is going on?

I'm not 100% sure on this subject but have you also got the transponder ring that goes around the ignition barrel from the donor car too? That goes off to another box of tricks which lives just up behind the light switch if I remember rightly. I take it the key/ecu are paired and from the same donor car too?
