D/S rear caliper not decompressing

So was bleeding the brakes on my 9n polo when tightening up the bleed nipple the bastard stripped clean out so got a second hand caliper. The piston compressed alright but know it's not decompressing, is there a way to fix it or do I need to get another one. All help appreciated.

Sounds like your secondhand calliper is also stuffed, I've only ever bought refurbed ones and from ECP - plenty available for sale online I'd guess, these callipers are a bit of a nuisance even when new.

Do you mean that the piston will not return (retract) 'in' after applying pressure to push the piston 'out' (ie apply brakes) ?
You need a special tool to 'Wind In' the rear pistons - they are not expensive and just rotate the piston whilst pushing it in at the same time - it is a bit of a pain to do but they eventually retract.
Also make sure that any displaced brake fluid can flow out of the master cylinder to allow retraction,I usually have rags around the master cyl if I think it will overflow.
