Polo 1.4 tdi PD 9N 75HP equivalent engine codes (BAY to AMF ?)

Hi everyone!
My car: vw Polo 9N 2004, 1.4 TDI PD, 75 HP, engine code BAY
current state: needs new engine
problem: engine code BAY is hard to find and the ones which can be found are quite expensive
questions: can I replace this engine with one of a different code such as AMF(or other compatible, I am open to any sugestion) ?
will the original ECU of the car accept this other engine code?
same question for turbo and other parts as well
will the other engine fit mechanically with the exhaust, gearbox, etc? ( i've read that these 2 engine code ar identical from a mechanical perspective)

p.s. I do not make any reference to such thing as un upgrade of some sort, I just want to replace the original engine (code BAY) with an identical 75 HP engine with a diferent code. (eg. AMF )
