Jumping Out of third gear

Hi guys I've got a 2001 1.4 mpi polo and since I've bought it it's jumping out of third gear. It stays in if I hold it there but not if I engage without holding it. Any ideas on what's wrong please

If could be that the gear selector is misasligned and not holding in third properly
Other option is the synchromesh in the gearbox or the actual 3rd gear has issues within the gearbox
