Hi guys, bought a 9n3 gti last week that had work done on the gearbox. It seems to be leaking oil now from the box. When I checked underneath two bolts were loose on a plate with a vw engraved logo on and that's where the oil was leaking from My question is what is that part? I've tightened them now and the oils getting replaced on Thursday as I don't know how much oil I've lost just wondering if I should be worried or it was just bad work manship from where it had the work done. Thanks

It should be ok but get the oil changed to be safe

It's getting changed, but the oil is still leaking. Albeit slower but the leak is still there. Just wondering what that part does

The gasket behind it might need replacing. I think that's the plate that covers the final gear
