throttle body issues - any advice?

Good afternoon all,

Looking for some wise guys on here to attempt to help out if poss!

I have a 1.9tdi polo sport 100bhp AXR engine.

have a couple of fault codes being thrown about -
19558 - Motor intake manifold flap V157 VW Code
No Signal P3102 Intermittent

Throttle Actuator A control Motor Circuit open P2100.

Now i have had the throttle body off along with re-circulation valve next to it.

cleaned both as they were rank, put back on car, cleared codes. Codes re appeared.

Now i am being told that the throttle body motor has probably knackered as its been on the car for 11 years and needs replacing. Which is a fair shout.

But i also occasional have a buzzing from the solenoid vacuum pump too. Don't know if they are all connected in terms of issues!

Now looking at replacement throttle bodies, there are loads to choose from from different manufacturers and sellers. has anyone had any experience in buying a certain make or know ones to avoid.

And lastly apparently a new throttle body needs to be coded to the vehicle as they will return to "default" and not sit correctly?

So if anyone reads this has a bit of knowledge on this stuff that would be smashing!

Cheers

Dave
