De-badging

i was curious how the badges on the rear - polo, 1,0 etc. are attached, as i want to remove them and need to know if there will be visable holes after wards

The VW round badge has a big dent behind it though. But I think you knew that already.

at least the mk4's VW hole is smaller than mk5/6!

although i may have a problem as the paint behind the badges are likely to be a different shade to the rest of the car

Agree with nitnoy!
The badge is an icon, debadging at the front works for most of us i'm sure all will agree.
It does however need to retain its identity for those chavas on the street who can't tell adam from eve.
Depending on the colour of your ride, replacing the silver with a black badge has a nice effect, or have the silver one sprayed if easier.
Not taking anything away from the smooth tailgates of the world, but just not for me (IMO of course!)

Has anyone heard of an offset VW logo? Keep the badge on the grille but place it to one side-I guess a bit like the Caddy vans have a rear badge on the one door. Would this look good or would it look carp?
