Lowering springs

Looking to lower my car slightly, just to close the arch gap. Running 17" 225/45 wheels, someone said they might rub with those dimensions. Any one got springs with those wheels?

You sure that ain't a typo fella?? 225/45 is way too big. OE is 215/40R17.

I'm surprised you ain't rubbing on std springs.

The arch gap on the 6c is one of the worst I've seen. It clearly sits way too high as std.

We've added the H&R Supersport springs to the wife's car and it sits great now. It's quite firm however.

She runs 215/40 tyres with no issues, but can't comment on your set up unfortunately.

Hi! :D

If you have original VW wheels then there is no problem for lowering with springs 25/30mm H&R or Eibach Prokit. Probably you know the car will be harder then before, but car will be better on curves.

Here is photo of mine before/after.

Looks great! I don't have original alloys though, would that be an issue?

Well only thing where can be problem is ET (offset) but if now is 0k (you can turn normally without rub tire) then probably will be fine.

I don't know exactly what is ET on Budapest rims I think it is 46 but not sure. :/
