2016 GTI fuse box layout

Post by st-gti »

Does anyone have a diagram for the under steering wheel fuse box? Or, can anyone tell me what fuse I can connect my sub's remote to (only on with ignition)?

You do not say what fuse rating you require. The cigarette lighter fuse is rated 20A and appears to be the only component powered from this fuse. It is numbered 28 and should be off when the ignition is off. If all 6c RHD cars are the same then it is on the middle row counting from the right which starts at 23. Take the fuse out and check the rating and also see if the lighter is live when removed to be sure you have the correct one. A piggy back fuse holder with the correct rating for your remote is probably the way I would go.

the remote for your sub is going to require mA of current

I didn’t think the rating would matter, it just needs to send a signal to the amp right? Can’t seen to find a diagram anywhere, I’ve also put my horn fuse in the wrong slot like an idiot so now that doesn’t work. Eugh.
