Re: What did you and your Polo do today?
Changed my front wiper blades as per above and the difference is night and day. Thanks for the suggestion guys.
Also washed / polished (Autoglym super resin) for the first time since buying the car last month. I'd been waiting for what looked to be a few dry conservative days before doing this.
It's come up very nicely. Nice to see that the supplying garage listened to me when I said to just wash it at the PDI.
I'd given the paint job a VERY close inspection when picking the car up, so knew it was fault free.

Glad the wiper's are better now Mike. One of the cheapest and best things I did to my car.MikeDO wrote: ↑Sun Oct 16, 2022 5:37 pm Changed my front wiper blades as per above and the difference is night and day. Thanks for the suggestion guys.

Funnily enough, mine have started making a slight rubbing noise after I think 3 years on. Might have to replace them if it gets worse.
Re: What did you and your Polo do today?
Has anyone fitted a rear anti roll bar or sway bar on their Polo AW GTI? Or even regular Polo?
Would love to know if it makes a positive difference to the handling without (severely) impacting comfort.

Re: What did you and your Polo do today?
A new set of four Goodyear Asymmetrics went on today. The car came with a right mixture of tyres on it.
The two fronts were non identifiable Michelins, the tyre walls were well scrubbed and I could only see that they were Michelins, but they were legal with 3mm left on them.
The rear of the car had one Bridgestone which was about 4+mm and one cheap crap budget tyre at about 6mm. Luckily the alloys were untouched. So all good now, feel better in myself knowing that there a good matching set of tyres on it.

Seapped the grey stitched handbrake lever that does not match the GTI interior with one from a seat ibiza that does match.
If anyone wants to upgrade from a non-leather handle to a leather one with grey stitching pm me.

Re: What did you and your Polo do today?
Had to take off the front drivers side wheel (nasty knocking noise). Thank God that I have a garage, as it was raining cats and dogs.
Found half a tree wrapped round the half shaft (OK... it was only a small branch).
Noise now gone.

Removed the winter wheels and gave it a final wash.
Due for collection in 2 days.
If it stays dry tomorrow I may clean the windows properly.
Someone, somewhere is gonna get a mint Reef Blue 2019 low miles GTI+ with KESSY, Hot Seats and Spare Wheel - for top dollar no doubt.
The fluffy mats are still in the original pack (I used rubber mats which will go in the new car one day).

Waved goodbye.
The BCA agent conceded it was one of the cleanest cars she’d ever collected.
Only noted one light trolley scratch on RH passenger door.
Alloys unmarked.
Roll on new Polo R.

Finally washed the car - the second time since new. Two months and 5000 miles done since registration
