Can anyone point me in the direction of some instructions to reset the steering angle sensor?? Also read somewhere that it can be bypassed if it becomes a regular thing??!

It’s a VCDS calibration job to reset this. It can’t be bypassed either. It’s used for all sorts of things in the car

With VCDS go into ABS Unit.
Click on "Security Access" and type "40168".
Make sure your steering is perfectly straight.
Then go into "Basic Setting", type Group "060" and click "Go". You'll see the program will inform you about the recalibration process. It will take only few seconds.

Tried through vcds to reset/calibrate this just now but says "aborted safety reasons" any ideas??
I did change the sensor for a new 1 but didn't think it needed coding or is this the reason why it's saying this??
