Both Tail Lights Not Working

For the past week I’ve a ticking noise coming from under the steering wheel and last night both tail lights decided to stop working. Brake. Reverse etc still work. In the weeks leading up to this the right tail light was dim but the left was fine. My guess is fuse and/or relay. Anyone know the specific fuse or solutions to this issue. (Polo 6r 1.2)

Thanks

Check/change the 10 Amp SB21 fuse in case the interior lights and front parking/side lights don't work either.

Otherwise, you will have to change the tail lights bulbs.

Update: changed the fuse and that solved the tail light issue but the front right parking light is still not working and right tail light is still dim

Well, everything goes in the right direction, but the solution to this puzzle depends on your observations.

I'll explain:

1- With the fuse change we have ensured that the BCM is receiving adequate power for all parking lights.

2- Your rear and front parking lights on the same side of your 6R are powered by the same wire.
Right: front-rear, a wire.
Left: front-rear, another wire.

3- The real problem could be in the right front parking light.

The simplest thing is to change the front parking light bulb and check that both parking lights on right side are working correctly.
- remove (extract) the ignition key from ignition switch.
- Light switch in '0' position.
- replace the right front parking light.
- check its operation.

Note: The same reason that caused the parking lights fault could break again this new fuse you installed before you change the front parking light. (bear in mind)
Note 2: it may be necessary to clear a fault from the BCM with some diagnostic tool.

I have tried to explain it in the simplest possible way, I hope you can understand my explanation.
