PCP Voluntary Termination

Post by skymera »

Hi all,

My PCP ownership has been rocky and has so far cost me 4 years in NCB (Not entirely my fault, long story!) but again the car has been damaged when parked.

I'm fed up and am looking to return the car as soon as I can. I'm on a 4 year agreement and my 2nd anniversary will be March so I understand it's too soon to get the ball rolling but I'm just here for advice:

Has any returned a PCP early? What was the process with VW / the finance company? Did you encounter any resistance?

No resistance at all.

Ring and ask for your figure to voluntary terminate (which is half of the full amount owned). They will tell you either how many more payments you have or what you would need to pay to hand it back. If you decide to go for it they send you a form, you pay your money, they then send a bloke from British Car Auctions to come and assess it for damage, if any damage they will charge you for that, too.

Or, you could try and sell it privately and pay off the balance. For example what do webuyanycar offer you?
