Hello guys,
I have a polo 6c and I’m now wanting to lower it, it will be getting 17 inch wheels and I wasn’t sure wether to drop it 25/40 or 35/50 or instead just buy a coil over kit?
Thanks for any help in advance !

Hi Conor!
it depends on your budget. If you want to look good at a small cost, just buy the springs. You will lower the car by 3-4cm. If you want to lower by 5cm or more and at the same time you want to have some driving comfort you need more money and coilovers

The more lowered springs, the harder ones, if you lower too much on the springs, the driving will be uncomfortable

Thanks for your reply !
I think I’m going to go with the lowering springs as I’m only 17 so am on a slight budget

however I was wondering if the 35mm/50mm H&R springs would be my best option and if so is the polo 6c and 6r suspension the same ?

Don’t forget that you’ll need to inform your insurer of the modifications you’ll be making, otherwise your policy may be invalidated. Also, be aware that they may charge you an additional premium.
