Hi,
I'm sorry if I do not speak excellent English, but I'm Italian and I try to do my best.

I own a Polo comfortline 2011 1.6 tdi 90cv, to which I mounted the cruise control and the additional wiring to be able to view the car's values ​​on the speedometer.
I mounted the steering wheel of a golf mk7 r-line by connecting the two additional cables (+ 12v and lin signal), but the keys do not work and do not light up.
My onboard unit (bcm) is 6r0937087k (28.08.11).
Is the bcm that is old and i can't use the keys of steering wheel, or the problem is more than one?
What bcm i need to connect this steering wheel?

I have a chinese radio with integrated CanBus. But the canbus has no connector to connect, only 4 pins on it and on the other side the connector that goes to the car radio cables.

Also, do I need to insert a fuse on fuses connector?

check wiring at slip ring connector (12V, linbus)
check for correct airbag wiring loom

vcds:
check whether the module is recognized
check coding
check advanced measurement values for the buttons

i don't know whether your chinese radio will work

The wiring and the airbag cables are connected correctly. The coding was performed correctly, the same as a guy who installed the steering wheel with commands of a golf mk6 on a polo 6r without steering wheel controls.
He did all the electrician.

Now i think that the problems are two:

- bcm
- radio can-bus


1) Normally the radio canbus where is connected?

2) For first i have, certainly to change the bcm. I have seen one people that have used a bcm with the code "6r0 937 087 t" to connect the same steering wheel controls that i want to connect.
But to change it i have to do additional wiring?
In future i want to change tachometer with mfa+, install xenon light (not oem), coming/leaving home with automatic switch light and add rain sensor. The 6r0 937 087 t is compatible with this optional or i need to install 7e0937090?

I have to go to my electrician to do an autoscan. Tomorrow i will upload photos of my radio and his canbus

And if I wanted to change my bcm in bcm max (7e0937090) I would need more wiring to make the steering wheel controls work?

There are many possible reasons why your MFSW buttons are not working. Have you considered buying some suitable buttons (1K8), not from the Golf mk7?

The problem is that your BCM (old) does not provide the signal to illuminate the buttons.

The buttons that you have currently installed have another additional problems.

In ebay link there are two switch buttons:
1k8959422 - with red leds
5g0959442l - with white leds

I want to change all leds of my polo in white. The 5g0959442l work with my original bcm, or work only 1k8959422?

These buttons are good to control the mfa+ (when i will change it in future)?


If i will buy bcm max (150€ shipped) the buttons that have now my steering wheel will works? Because i will spend the same money to buy bcm or this buttons.
What do you suggest?

In any case, you can buy the 1K8 buttons and change the LEDs color to white.

There are Golf MK7 buttons that work in our 6R but it's impossible to get a correct scan of them. So...
