Windscreen wash software fault?

Hia folks, having problem with my 65 plate 1.0 L Petrol Polo.

Windscreen washers stopped working during recent severe weather and I assumed were simply frozen.

However it didn’t resolve despite thaw and long drive so I asked garage I use to check it. Fuses are all fine, he took washer motor out and it is fine too from independent power source but there is no activation of motor at all when windscreen wash is engaged.

He said he thinks that there is another VW software glitch that is causing this that the company are trying to keep quiet.

Anyone else know anything about this or how to resolve?

try and replace the fuse anyway. I've seen a dozen of these fuses fail with the cold weather.

I had the same problem. Just spent the best part of an hour looking for fuse box layouts for polo 6C. The fuse for the wiper pump is located at 23 under the steering wheel (right hand drive). It’s a 7.5 amp fuse easily changeable.

Have a look at the link below if you want more information about fuse location as they do not appear in the Manuel of the car.
