Re: Fuse overview VW Polo 6R and 6C
I'm trying to hardwire a dashcam into my g/f's 65 GTi (6C) and not sure about the fuse connections. It's got parking mode so needs Acc and Vcc.
Re the fuses to piggyback onto - from the PDF diagrams above (Polo 6C 2014-2018), I'd gone for Vcc => fuse 5 (driver's door control unit) and for Acc => 23 (washer pump)...are those OK?
I got a couple of tap fuses but when trying to fit them, they just don't seem to fit well around/over the existing fuses (i.e. the blades don't sit nicely due to the tap'd fuses pressing against the existing fuses). For other's who have done this, did you use the standard size fuses to piggyback? Or would it be better to go for the mini fuses? And if so, which ones would be good ones to use? Possibly Acc => fuse 36 (heated front seats), Vcc => fuse 17 (anti-theft alarm sensor)?
I'm sure I read somewhere (though can't remember where!) that it's best to use fuse slots that are rated 10-30A - is that true?
Sorry, that's a lot of questions in one post!
Thanks

For ACC I'd recommend a fuse between 24 and 37 (75/15 in the most right column in the fuse overview). For VCC you can take any fuse with 30 in the right column, 5 is fine.

Re: Fuse overview VW Polo 6R and 6C
I blew a fuse for the screenwash pump because I didn't put any screenwash in my tank and the water froze. First thing I knew about it was when my front wipers didn't work!
It took ages to trace the fuse - eventually checked every single fuse under the steering wheel.
For me it was fuse 2 - the very last fuse I checked! This made sense when I realised I'd blown the washer fuse - really surprised that this stopped the wipers working as it isn't stated anywhere!
thanks to this forum I didn't have to take it to a garage. Sharing this info in the hope of giving something back - VERY HAPPY

Similar issue today on wifes tsi bluemotion, fuse 23 underdash.... checked all with multimeter, 7.5amp.
definitely more to do with frost,as she hates to use screenwash...dunno why costs me nothing for the blue stuff....but she ignores the 5 litres of concentrate at the door step

Re: Fuse overview VW Polo 6R and 6C
Good day everybody.
My daughter changed her car from 2006 VW Polo to 2014 VW Polo 6c 1,0 BlueMotion, facelift model.
Today I have noticed that relay R1 is missing at engine compartment fuse box, just Bridged with wire.
Could you please help me to find correct relay.
Thank you in advance.

Did you ever fix this? I'm having the same issue. ThanksOllyDale wrote: ↑Thu Jul 04, 2019 8:41 pm Hi all, new to the forum
My wife’s 2015 polo has been having problems with the tailgate lock. I assumed it was the actuator as it became unreliable and then finally gave up the ghost. Have replaced the lock, but completely dead now. I assume there is a fuse, but cannot find it recorded on the overview.
Anyone able to help?
