coolant sesnor

hi all i have a 1.4 tdi 53 reg polo...the coolant temp doesnt really rise from 0 apart from the odd occassion when cruising at 60mph then it will get upto about 70. suspect dodgy sensor? can any one tell me where the sensor is located il try to attach pic of engine bay. thanks

Thats more likely to be the thermostat, but I would replace the sensor and the thermostat together. Its on the right hand side of the block (the sensor)
Thermostat is where the bottom rad hose goes into block side.

thanks it was thermostat but have has both changed and problem fixed!
