Hey everyone, I'm wanting to move my sub from my mk3 polo to my mk2 but I don't know where to put the power wire through the firewall or if I need to drill a new hole specifically for it. Tbh i don't have the best mechanical knowledge so my understanding of terminology is limited so if you're able to provide me with help, the simpler the better sorry lol. Thanks for reading and I hope one of you can help me.

The mk3 and the mk2 chassis is very similar. You should be able to run the new cable through the same place as your mk3 has it

To be certain the advice I provide is correct, what year is your polo?

A lot of people have suggested that but unfortunately I didn't wire the mk3 properly through the firewalls I actually had it running across the underside of the bonnet and then through the door as it was quick and easy. (Rookie error haha) But I want to do it properly with the mk2. And the mk2 is '92

That’s a mk2F then so officially a mk3 in our terms

Trying to remember how I did it in mine. I have a feeling there’s a spare grommet behind the glovebox area and you can bring it in down there

I checked some old photos and the cable went down under the wiper area in on the passenger side as there’s a bulk of wires there going through into the car

A 98 is a mk4 :)

Once I get it through the firewall via the place you said, how do I then access the wire from inside?

Reach up behind the glovebox you’ll be able to get to it

I can only see two areas of entry on the passenger side of the car, and I've tried the one nearest the middle and when I've removed the grommet to see inside the dash, there's just an abundance of wires that seem to be blocking any way in.If I was to take pictures would that help show what I mean?

Is the black wire closest to the fuse box the one you were referring to?
