Hello everyone

I've just purchased a 6N2 GTI and need to fix it a bit

is the door grab handles still available from VW?

also I wanted to upgrade the brake system but still use the 15" wheels for now will and ibiza 6K 1.8T brakes will fit in the polo?
is it a straight swap or do I need to get more bits ?

Those style door handles have been on a few models so I’d guess you can still get them from TPS for example. Easy breakers yard find without doubt!

As for brakes, I couldn’t comment on Ibiza but I have the 280mm G60/mk3 VR setup. Bigger discs and carriers, original calipers and pads so easy to do and 15’s still fit.

the g60\vr6 are very rare here and I can't find them at the breakers
the breakers here don't like to keep old cars they usually scrap them....

The mk5 golf or Transporter T6 has the same handles so that’s something newer to look at.

As for brakes, anything is possible if you change the hubs and possible drive shafts. I used the VR6 as a cheap example. Someone else may shed some light on the Ibiza setup.

the dealer here said that the grab handles are out of production and the price for each handle here (if they had them in stock)
is crazy I can buy an entire car for parts for less then the Handles

Ah ok, I’m surprised they even did the polo over there, I work in Saudi a lot and I’ve never seen a VW let alone a Polo!

there is a lot of polos here and the seat ibiza is one of the most selling super minis here but the importer is the biggest problem with these cars he thinks that beacause the VW symbol he can sell all the genuine parts for way more then what they worth

Ah ok. Skoda Fabia VRS may be another way to source parts if skoda is in Israel?

anyway I see that the grab handles are out of production so I will need to check in a junkyard and find a set in good condition
