Do I need extra cable connections with this unit or can I just copy the values from the existing BMC and install it? The BMC I have no is 6R937086.

Well, you have the BCM 6R0 937 086 which is one of the lower BCMs.
This BCM will add a lot of functionality to the car, for sure. And I guess it will work but you won't be able to use some of the functions.
You'll ideally need to make or buy the following wiring for installation of the BCM Max (conversion for lights controlled by BCM):

From BCM low to BCM Max in Polo 6R LHD:

Your car might have H4 headlights, it might be a bit different, but in general it will be comparable.
