The Eagle has landed

Here it is! Very pleased with it and loving the smart phone mirroring! Also very pleased with the DSG gearbox but I prefer it with the stop/start disabled to avoid hesitation when pulling away. I’ll enable stop/start when I know I’m going to be stopped for more than just a few seconds.

I’ve also been sampling S mode on the gearbox for when I need to pull out quickly and it’s a noticeable difference.

Just waiting for the valeter to arrive now to do the diamondbrite treatment at £300 cheaper than the dealer price! :D

SE 1.0 TSI :D Has everything I need, especially with the capability to use my phone for sat nav as I have 20GB of data allowance.

To be fair I can count on one hand how many times I use sat nav per year. Also, I got carpet mats and boot lip protection cover (clear) thrown in for free and purchased a set of rubber mats for autumn and winter usage.

Hi,

Great looking car. Personally I would spend the money on some good quality products to clean and look after the car yourself. After years of experience, I can say hand on heart, Lifeshine, GuardX and Diamondbrite are a complete waste of money.

I use Autoglym HD wax for years, but moved to Swissvax last year after I went to a car show and saw the results with this product. Totally brilliant.

I’ve got HD wax and other cleaning stuff and of course the 2 bucket method but at £100 I was more than happy to go for Diamondbrite treatment as it also includes the interior.

Apparently, unlike polish and wax, diamondbrite and lifeshine withstand traffic film remover.

Dealer wanted £400

They say how good "Diamond Bright" is and how long it lasts, that's why when you have it done, they give you a big zippy bag with all their products in, why do you need them, if the original coating suppose to last the time you have the motor.

Just a few remarks

Hi,

Your call and at £100 a lot cheaper than the car wash 16 year old applying the kit at the dealership and charging you £400.

Enjoy the car. :D :D

Thanks. I didn’t need to wait for months because I went for a test drive just 10 days ago and purchased it from dealer stock.

The Hankook winter tyres rocked up today as well. Stash them until October or November.
