After run in

Hi all.
Had my car about 3 Months now and today I will hit 1000 miles and I recall someone on here say that is the run miles.
Will I notice any difference in the car after I hit the 1000 miles mark ?
My car has been going great since vw fixed my faulty grearbox and next week I’m taking it for the first long drive.

620 miles (approx 1000km) is the big run-in step as far as VW engine management software is concerned. You should've noticed a step-up then.

Although the step up will be less noticaboe assuming that you have a 95HP, due to the lower power and torque there's less of a need to restrict it. The GTI is another matter. Which car do you have?

Thanks guys. Yh I have the GTI+. Maybe I have just been having to much fun to notice the power step up lol. Still makes me smile every time I leave Mr Audi and Mr BMW for dust at the traffic lights. They always look really P’d off.
