Looking at getting some allyos with winter tyres for my polo gti. Apparently there is a type monitoring system fitted. Does anyone know if this system operates off typre pressure monitoring valves or if it run off the ABS system. Also what happens if it is TPM valves, will it just beep when i get into the car and i can clear the fault or will it be a constant annoyance?

The previous generation Polo has the indirect tyre pressure monitoring system that uses the ABS sensors to monitor the rotational speed of the wheels. Pretty certain the current Polo uses the same set up and not TPMS valves.

As per previous post. I believe you must reset the system when you put on new tyres.
