92 polo coupe dash cluster removal

Post by mk2zetec » Wed Oct 24, 2018 2:23 pm

Hi
Can anyone tell me how to get the dash cluster out?
I’ve tried radio pins that seem the right size for the holes in the side of the dash but won’t budge!
Help!!
Many thanks
Rich

Pinched from another source:

two screws for the pod switch panel, unplug the switches as you draw it out. Steering wheel might get in the way, might wanna remove it. Pod itself is another two screws, lens tilts downward for easy way out once you've unplugged the speedo drive,if you need it out. Speedo plug is pulled out with a little catch on its side pressed with your thumb/finger. Bit fiddly but easy enough.
