I recently bought a secondhand 2006 Polo S 1.2. The guy I bought it off said that the ignition coils needed replaced so I went ahead and did that after reading the ECU it said that the 2nd cylinder was misfiring; so I changed the 2nd coil and spark plug, cleared the ECU and the code hasnt come back. Whenever I first bought the car it was shaking immensely, like there was literally someone physically shaking the car; once I changed the coil/plug it died down a bit. Whenever I’m out on the road the car won’t go over 31mph, it still shakes but it’s not as violent as it was and now I’m stuck and have no clue what the issue could be. Can someone assist me?

If one coil fails, it generally takes others with it. Replace all the coils and all the sparks, plus do a full service - air filter, oil, oil filter, fuel filter, and clean the throttle body
