Interior Clicking Sound

Hi Guys!

I am in a really frustrating position and any help on this would be a start.

I have this really annoying clicking sound coming from the rear of my GTI (3door). I have taken all the cards on the driver side off and still cant find the problem.

Its like a plastic ticking sound, non mechanical and for some it wouldn't be a problem but for me, its driving me insane.

Anyone experienced this and have an idea where it comes from ?

Cheers

L

I presume that the clicking sound can only be heard on the move?

If you know the general area where the noise is coming from, get a friend to sit near to the possible source of the noise while you’re driving (or if your car is insured for others to drive, get someone else to drive while you sit near noise source). Should make it easier to locate the source.

Be aware that the source of noises, creaks and rattles in a car can sound as if they originate from a specific area, when the source could be from somewhere completely different. Mk7 Golf owners on various forums have complained of noises from the dashboard, when the cause has actually been the driver’s sun visor vibrating against the vanity mirror light in the headlining behind the sun visor.

Good luck in tracking it down.

Maybe it's a land dolphin

I thought I had several of those dolphins in the back of my car, turned out to be my multi porpoise tool kit.

I got that one!

Trouble in our cars, I say "can you hear that noise and where is it coming from?" wife answers that it is coming from anywhere but where I think it is coming from, very annoying!
