2006 9N3 - changing steering wheel from 4 spoke to 3 spoke

Hi all, newbie here.
I want to change my steering wheel from the current 4 spoke to the 3 spoke.
I found a wheel and airbag on eBay, but when messaging the seller they said that some coding may have to be done.
Has anyone changed the steering wheel before to the 3 spoke? Do I need to do coding to get the airbag working properly?
