There have been quite a few that have gone like that.
Take it to vw and they should sort it.

They shouldn't be too bad it must have been noted somewhere that this isn't the first case.
The only thing id put back would be the stock suspension, the other bits shouldn't affect your warranty.
And to be fair that's a structural defect in manufacturing so it wouldn't take much to get them to sort it.

Oh - not exactly what you expect to find on a modern car, very much "not good"!

I wouldn't bother about the remap, but definitely back to stock suspension and exhaust.
Either of those visible mods may give them reason to say the chassis has been put under pressure 'beyond normal tolerances', or some such crap.

Could your recent accident have caused this? Any other damage apart from the front bumper?

No I've been going on about a knock for at least 6 months it's just got louder over time and boom today it snapped completely when pulling out of work so it's going too the stealers in the morning on recovery I've put the back box back in and took the coilovers out and giving it to them they won't even notice the map can't get the Polly Bush gearbox mount back out tho but it's not visable.
My crash only did bumper damage nothing past the bumper at all.

The same has just happened to me, I’ve supported the engine and remove the engine mount. My question is how the hell did you get the metal out?

I doubt you’ll get a response from forum member @LawrenceDGraham; they’ve not been active on the forum since Jan 2020.

Yes the metal is completely free just can’t get it out because of the aircon pipes, didn’t know if I could jack the engine up to try and jiggle it out
