Hi.

Has anyone got a wiring diagram of the main light plug wiring harness for a 6C .
Or tell me which pin number or coloured wire the side lights are?
Thanks in advance.

I'm wanting to put in a small resistor into the side light wiring so need to know which is the side light wire from which pin and the earth ?

Halogen headlights:

Basic equipment , (L0R)
No 31/8 , 31/9

T10/10 (58l/58r signals)

I've sorted it out by wiring in a resistor to pin 10 the side light and earth pin 5. Used a 10w resistor.
They get warm too touch is this normal?
Could I indeed actually wire in a side light bulb holder instead in place of a resistor?

Yes, it's normal.

What's the reason for attach resistors to the side lights wires? LEDs bulbs? Front, Rear?

With the introduction of the Polo 6C (MQB-A0 platform), it should be possible to set dimming values to the lights with VCDS. I'm not completely sure how, though.
