Install 12v Accessory Socket in Boot Area?

Recently took delivery of a 68 plate SE with DSG. I would like to install a 12v accessory socket in the back/boot area if it is not too difficult a task. I want it on a switched circuit so it powers off when the ignition is off. I have searched the forum but have not found any tips (it could be my searching skills are poor). Does anyone know of any relatively easy way of doing this?

Many thanks in advance for any guidance!

You'd be best off piggy backing off the existing plug in the front console and routing the piggy back wires, under the trim that sits over the perimeter of the carpet, up edge of trim adjacent to rear seat bench and in to the boot, or (easier) piggybacking positive lead from the fuse and finding an earthing point at either the fuse box cavity (see dashcam install thread for an example of suitable earthing point) or nearer where you are going to place your plug (earthing point in the boot, serving the rear light clusters perhaps?). From there you'd have to decide where your plug is going and cut a hole in the boot trim lining. Best off getting a plug with a threaded body and a locking nut to clamp it to the carpet trim in the boot - just behind the access flap cutouts for access to rear cluster bulb replacement.

Haven't done it myself, but that's the way I'd go.
