Advice Right Front Indicator

Hello
I have 53 plate 1.4 TD Polo
No drivers front indicator .
Left Indicators on dash or flashing normal and clicking
Hazard Lights OK and dash board flashing and clicking
Right Indicator on front is not working but the dashboard is flashing quick and clicking
All my lights are OK
I have tried 2 bulbs and tried installing the plastic holder carrier several times had to loosen the coolant reservoir container to get access and i am sure its fitted correctly. But I could be wrong
Any ideas what to try before expensive dealer or garage
Could i use an volt meter on the headlight connection to check its getting voltage or is that pointless because the cable is elsewhere. I will need to buy volt meter light ?
I was going to take out the bulb carrier from the passenger side to test the part?
I guess its not relay because the clicking ?
I guess it not fuse because of the flashing on the dashboard.
Or do each indicator have fuses ?
