I just had my first polo only had one key the type with the light on I thought this maybe the spare because I surely thought it would of came new with fob to lock/unlock when I called this key shop they said they don't do them but in the cars maintenance book there's a picture of a fob can anyone give me the truth on this as it's doing my head in

Is it not possible that that car does not have remote central locking and the missing key was only a basic key without a light?

VW Group handbooks do tend to include info on things that your car might not have had from new but would have further up the model trim levels.
