Hey Guys,
Apologies if this has been put before but I cant seem to find it anywhere on the internet.

How do you go about removing the front and rear badges, I have some black badges to put on there.

There are plenty of videos explaining with the 6R but none that I can find for the 6C are they the same?

I don't know if it is similar to the golf 7 front badge removal like here:

But you can go the grill removal route... I sent you Erwin instructions on how to do it.

Managed to do it eventually, taking the grill off was a pain, with many cuts on my hands from trying to get those bottoms clips off, so just managed to push the badge out from the inside, probably wasn't the best of plans. the back one also put up a fight as it there is no notch on the bottom like there is on the 6R, but all is done and they are now black.
unfortunately there are no photos :'(

Hi how did you manage to take off the rear badge, i’m trying to take it off and get it wrapped to but back on. But not sure how to do it, i got the front one off by just using a screwdriver, but i’ve heard you need to heat up the glue for the back one etc? help would be appreciated

Same here - if anyone has any advice on removing front and rear badges it would be appreciated…

I think you should be able to.twist the front badge and then pull it out.

I've just had a go at the front badge. The front portion popped off really easily with a flat head screwdriver. But there's a problem. The slots in the backing plate and the tabs in the badge itself are different on the new badge I've bought - so I'm going to have to take the front grill off to get the backing plate off because you can't get at the backing plate from the outside.

Here’s where I bought the badges from

Although it specifically says that it doesn’t fit the GTI. Can’t find anywhere that makes badges for the GTI.
