Alarming.

Has anyone else noticed this? A few weeks ago we had heavy gale force winds and rain in deepest Yorkshire and the alarm on my R Line started going off.
Did not realise at first as it sounded quite tinny!!!. Earlier today we had a heavy sleet shower and again the alarm went off whilst it was parked.
Anyone any idea's, I'm sure it should not be that sensitive.

Sensitivity should be adjustable, speak to your dealer.
In one of my GTis, the alarm kept going off and it was a bugger to trace.
Eventually traced to water from the rear wash/wipe pipe leaking down through the tailgate innards and onto the contacts between the tailgate and body, causing a short that made the alarm thing the the tailgate was being opened.

Mine set itself off over the weekend, during a brief spell of very heavy rain. My Golf parked next to it stayed silent.

Reviving an old thread, but this keeps happening to me too.
Twice this week my alarm has gone off.
One time it had started raining heavily. Either the sound or sudden drop in temperature must have tripped it.
The other time though, no rain or wind. Just sat on my drive and started alarming..

Happened to me last night at 3am.

It was raining but not heavily, neighbours must have been happy.
